WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LEAGUE PLAY

 

Season:

11-week season begins in March and ends in June. All practices and games take place on Fridays evenings between 6:30-9:30pm (depending on division).

 

Location:

Chestnut Square Park, Indian Trail NC, 28079 (adjacent to Carolina Courts - 320 Chestnut Pkwy)

 

Time:

All games are played on Friday Nights starting at 7:30pm or 8:30pm with a 1-hour practice before gametime. 

 

Registration:

- All registration is done here at our website. Email peflagfootball@gmail.com if you cannot register online and need to register in person.

- Everything is included in registration. NFL team-branded reversible jersey, flag belt, shorts, and mouth guard is all theirs to keep.

- Registration is currently ongoing until further notice.

 

Divisions:

Divisions breakdowns are based on the player’s age as of January 1st. NOTE: Primetime Elite Flag Football reserves the right to adjust divisions in order to balance rosters and divisions

 

Practice:

All practices will take place 1-hour before each game. Coaches are mandated to have a minimum of three 1-hour practices in a season.

 

Games:

All games are scheduled directly after each practice. For the week, there is a total commitment of 2 hours (1-hour practice and 1-hour game) on Friday Nights.

 

Schedule:

All game and practice schedules will be posted on the website prior to opening week. Rainouts & makeup games are TBA.

 

Postseason:

The tournament is single elimination playoff format. All teams make the playoffs.

 

Referees:

All game officials are trained and licensed with the state of North Carolina.

 

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Q: Who is eligible to play?

A: All boys and girls ages 4-14 (age as of January 1). Any player can register and participate regardless of home residence.

 

Q: How will I know what division to sign up for?

A: Simply use the age of your child as of January 1, 2020. All 4-to-6 year olds are Tiny Mites (6U), 7-to-9 year olds are Mighty Mites (9U), 10-to-11 year olds are Pee Wees (11U) and 12-to-14 year olds are Seniors (14U). NOTE: Primetime Elite Flag Football reserves the right to adjust divisions in order to balance rosters and divisions.

 

Q: Are there weight restrictions?

A: No

 

Q: How will rosters be determined?

A: Players are drafted on teams. In some cases, players may be placed on teams using other factors such as age, grade, self-evaluation, school affiliation and friend request. Friend requests can be emailed to peflagfootball@gmail.com. (Note: It is our goal to pair players with their friends, neighbors and classmates whenever possible. Refunds are not issued for unfulfilled friend request.)

 

Q: How many players are on the field?

A: 5-on-5 co-ed. Roster sizes range from 7-10 players.

 

Q: Can I register a team?

A: To maintain parity and competitive balance, teams are selected on the criteria listed above. Contact league administrators if a special "team" request of 5 or fewer players is warranted.

 

Q: How will I know what team I’m placed on?

A: You will be contacted directly by that team’s Head Coach or Team Parent. If you are not contacted, please reach out to the Primetime Elite Flag Football staff at peflagfootball@gmail.com

 

Q: What equipment is needed to participate?

A: All players will receive a NFL team-branded reversible jersey with flag belt, shorts and mouth guard. All players are required to have a mouth guard. If a player loses or leaves their mouth guard home, they will be able to purchase one at the information table. Football cleats with rubber/molded plastic outsole (bottom of cleat) or sneakers can be used since play will be on a turf field. Cleats with metal outsoles are prohibited.

 

Q: Is prior football experience required?

A: No. Primetime Elite Flag Football is perfect for first-timers as well as players who look for skill development in the offseason.

 

Q: Are there any weeks off?

A: Yes. Friday, April 17 (Spring Break).

 

Q: Are there playoffs?

A: Absolutely! All division will have a season-ending single elimination playoff tournament.

 

Q: How are the jerseys sized?

A: Please refer to the sizing chart. If you are near the top end of your size, we recommend ordering the next size up for a looser fitting jersey. ORDER POLICY: One NFL Flag jersey is issued per participant per season. Jersey re-orders are for late registrants only. If you pick the wrong size for your child, you will be charge a fee for an additional jersey order. Child’s shirt size: YS (6-8), YM (10-12), YL (14-16), AS, AM, AL (NOTE: Youth XL is the same size as an Adult Small)
